"New Kosciuszko Bridge" replacement project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Fortis Consulting Services Corp. was tasked by the New York State Department of Transportation to provide Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) network design and to integrate ITS devices for the "New Kosciuszko Bridge" replacement project. The bridge, which connects New York’s boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, carries 200,000 commuters daily. The project was split into two phases - $555 million each. Fortis’ tasks on the "New Kosciuszko Bridge" project included the integration of the city’s signature "New York Harbor of Lights" aesthetic lighting system and overall bridge ITS support and maintenance.
